Transition between seasons may be tricky sometimes. It's not quite the end of summer, yet everything in the stores is geared towards fall. One piece will always work during this time and you might already have it in your closet. It's the Maxi Dress. For me, it has been a definite to go to transitional piece during summer/fall season. When the weather gets little cooler, the only thing you need to add it's a stylish jean or leather jacket. No fuss, not much thinking involved, because oh boy, sometimes we spend too much time analyzing our closet content. It's a daily struggle. At times it just happens, I put something on and I feel ahhhhmazing. Most of the time (and that's probably your reality if you're a woman/ or a stylish fella) I have to change 10 times before I leave the house.

To help you transition into fall with ease I have found 10 amazing Maxi Dresses you can wear now and early fall. Best thing about them? All are under $50!!! Wear any jean or leather jacket, nice heels or booties and trust me, you will look and feel fab. It's just that kind of an outfit anyone (shape/size/color) will look and feel great in. I hope you all MAXImize (see what I did there ;) your last weeks of summer and you go for that Maxi. ps. My dress is from Forever 21 and I never found it on their website, it was a in store purchase. Personal Update:

If you have been following my blog/instagram for at least 4 weeks you know that I now am in a long distance relationship. My boyfriend who is also the official SYP photographer, moved to the Pacific North West, near Portland, to start a new exciting job! It has been exactly 4 weeks since we have seen each other. To be completely honest with you all, I don't rally feel he has left,  I have kept myself very busy. Don't get me wrong, I miss him dearly and I would do anything to live in the same city again. It maybe my personality, that long distance suits me very well. I love my alone time, I spent most of it running and working almost non stop anyway! I do miss our road trips and the time we spend cuddled up watching Japanese reality tv or Game of Thrones. Well we still get to do that, but with headphones in our ears and over the phone. Hey, whatever works right? Willy will be back in Chi September 8th! It's going to fly by fast, I hope!

Marathon Training Update:

August has been a pretty weird month for me as far as training goes. I had to skip one long run (17 miles) in order to have the time and energy to help my mom remodel her new place. I also had to cut short one of my long runs to 13 miles. Sometimes you just have to listen to your body and circumstances will arise to which  making adjustments will be necessary. I am ok with that. I used to beat myself up for missing a run, especially a long run. I am a two time marathon finisher now and I know I can do this. The weather also had a huge impact on my performance. I do not run well in hot and humid climate, my body just shuts down. This past sunday I ran 19 miles and it was already hot by 8am. My performance suffered but I finished and that's all it matters!  Good thing that September is just around the corner and cooler temps with it! So far I have ran 71 miles in the month of August and the mileage in my training is still going up. My first 20 miler out of 3 total is next Sunday! Wish me luck.
