Hi Passionistas!

Welcome to Black is my happy color post. I always gravitate towards black, especially during long winter months. To wear anything else but black, I really need a lot of convincing myself to do so. Nothing wrong with that, black makes me really, really happy :)

This post is continuation from last week's Pencil Me In, where I got to style a pencil skirt and turtleneck top combo from Zara. This week, I wanted to feature the same top but in a totally different shape and form. I've styled it with a leather jacket, black booties, and skinny distressed black denim jeans, to give it that little bit more of an edgier look. I still managed to look polished and classy, without being too over the top. It's all about minimalism. Less is MORE! When wearing statement pieces, like this leather moto jacket, which already has a lot of gold embellishments, pair it up with simple stiletto boots with no gold details. Adding just a hint of accessories, like this tassel necklace and a stylish hat is all you really need to bring the whole outfit together. You can even wear solid black denim, without any rips for even more polished look. 

My shopping tip for this week is: invest in simple black pieces, like black jeans and a leather jacket, and black booties or stilettos. From there you can create magic, endless possibilities are to unfold in front of you. Happy shopping!
