Feeling Grey

When chilly and windy weather hits Chicago, all I want to do is stay inside, drink hot tea and curl up on my couch under a blanket, or two! I am not a fan of cold weather, but I have to deal with it, that's the cost of living in my favorite city. Something in my bones or the lack of thick skin perhaps, makes me always feel cold. Good news is, I've found few pieces to help me fight with unpredictable mother nature here in the midwest, that I wanted to share with you.

Grey could very much so be my to go to color, it goes with practically anything.  Also, it's so versatile, you can't go wrong wearing or pairing it with other colors. I even started decorating my home with throws and pillows in all shades of grey. Perfect color for fall to add to your closet and homes alike. That's why when I saw this sweater at Old Navy, I had to have it! It has a beautiful split in the back which I think is this seasons TREND ALERT. I paired up my new favorite grey sweater with Old Navy Rock Star Mid-rise blue jeans (bye bye low rise pants, I will never ever wear you again, seriously mid rise or high rise is where it's at girls, you are welcome ;). Moto leather jacket is quite manly, so I paired it up with lace up flats from Steve Madden to still have that lady like feel. Added oversized (gasp! convertible) tote bag, also from Old Navy. Completed the look with a geometrical statement scarf. Not only to give it a little bit of that stand out in the crowd look, but it also keeps me very warm (find it at H&M). I need to stock up on more scarves this season, I feel like will really need them.

Stay warm Passionistas! And enjoy this beautiful start to fall!

Come cheer me and thousands of other runners, this Sunday at the Bank of America Chicago Marathon. It's an amazing event and I can't wait to run my very first marathon. See you there.

Love,

Style Your Passion
