Couldn't be happier to have welcomed spring. We all have been waiting for it, what seems like forever. With spring, comes the irregular weather pattern and usually our outfits can easily change from summer dresses to winter coats in an instant. I suggest investing in layering pieces. Anything from cardigans, shirts, bombers, jean jackets and my favorite, you guessed it, vests.

In this post, I'm wearing this amazing long gold cream vest, which also comes in green (on sale now under $65). It has a string at the waist, to help give your silhouette shape and define your waist line. I styled it over a whole black outfit so that the main focus is the vest itself. Little embroidered red roses on my suede booties from Steve Madden are a must have this season. They add a punch of color without taking away the focus from the show stopping vest. Remember not to mix and match too many patterns and styles, stick to classics and basics when wearing a vest like this. If you follow this tip, your outfit will be head to toe golden.
